Black Bottom Slice



Bottom Layer
25ml- sugar
45ml- margarine
25ml- cocoa powder
125ml- flour

Filling
3ml- vanilla
1 egg
150ml- brown sugar
3ml- flour
3ml- baking powder
15ml- coconut
50ml- chopped nuts

1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees
2. Mix all of the bottom layer ingredients together
3. Pour the ingredients in a loaf pan
4. Place the loaf pan in the oven for 20 minutes
5. Beat an egg
6. Add in the brown sugar, flour, baking powder, vanilla and continue beating
7. Pour coconut and chopped nuts in the same bowl and mix together
8. Pour the filling and spread over top of the bottom layer
9. Put the loaf pan in the oven for 20 minutes

Refrigerator Cookies



425ml- flour
2ml- baking soda
1ml- salt
2ml- baking powder
125ml- margarine
60ml- brown sugar
125ml- white sugar
2ml- vanilla
1 egg



1. Sift together dry ingredients
2. Cream margarine and the sugars
3. Add an egg in the cream mixture and beat it
4. Add vanilla into the mixture and continue beating it
5. Start to blend in the dry ingredients to the cream mixture
6. Mix it so is gets sticky
7. Wrap a roll of dough into wax paper
8. Put it into the fridge for 2 hours, preferably one day
9. Take it out
10. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
11. Leave the cookies out for 15 minutes in room temperature
12. Cut cookies into circles and put on a baking sheet
13. Bake for 10 minutes

Cinnamon Pinwheels


    

375ml- flour
15ml- baking powder
2ml- salt
45ml- sugar
60ml- shortening
1 egg
100ml- milk



Toppings

30ml- margarine
30ml- brown sugar
5ml- cinnamon


1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
2. Sift dry ingredients in a bowl
3. Cut in shortening into the dry ingredients
4. Chop it with a pastry blender
5. Beat an egg in a small bowl
6. Add in the milk into the beaten egg
7. Slowly, add the wet ingredients while mixing the dry ingredients
8. Knead the dough
9. Roll dough into rectangles
10. Spread over the toppings on top of the dough
11. Roll into a tube
12. Cut into a couple of slices
13. Place the cut slices inside the muffin tins
14. Bake for 15-20 minutes

Creamy Salad



250ml- cabbage
1/2 onions
1//3 cucumber
1/3 carrots
75ml- mayonnaise
5ml- vinegar
25ml- milk
2ml- salt
0.5ml- spices
5ml- sugar



1. Cut and dice cabbage finely
2. Chop up the onion finely
3. Grate a cucumber and the carrot
4. Add mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, milk, and salt in a small bowl
5. Add spices (paprika) with in the dressing
6. Add the two bowls in one and mix together

Potato Salad

75ml- mayonaise
2ml- mustard
1ml- salt
1ml- pepper
1/2 green onions 
1/4 celery or green pepper
1 egg
1/4 onion
2 potatoes

1. Boil water for an egg and potatoes (2 pots)
2. Cut the potatoes and let them boil
3. Cook an egg for 10 minutes
4. Add salt in the potatoes
5.  Peel  the egg
6. Drain out the water the potatoes
7.  In a small bowl add mayonnaise, mustard, salt and pepper
8. Slice the egg and add it in the dressing
9. Dice the green onion
10. Add the onion, green prepper and the dressing into the potatoes
11. Mix it without seperating egg and potatoes





Taco Salad



1/2 lettuce
2 tomatoes
1 chicken breast
3/4 cup salsa
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup cheese
1 avocado
Tortilla chips

  

1. Cook up a chicken breast (medium)
2. Dice up the chicken breast
3. Add the salsa while cooking diced chicken breast (low)
4. Spread lettuce on a rectangular pan
5. Slice up tomatoes and layer it on top of the lettuce
6. Grab another bowl and scoop cut an avocado, also add in the mayonnaise
7. Mash it together
8. Pour the flavored chicken breast in the rectangular pan
9. Add the mashed sauce in the pan
10. Top it all together with cheese
11. Get a serving spoon and add the salad on the chip

Stuffed Green Peppers


2 green peppers
2 potatoes
15ml - butter
15ml - milk
1/4 onions diced
Sliver of garlic diced
15ml - oil
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
Little bit of cheese
Dash of salt
Splash of Tabasco
Dash of chili


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Boil water
3. Peel potatoes
4. Chop and dice potatoes for boiling
5. Cut a green pepper in half and take out the seeds and boil for five minutes in a separate bowl
6. Heat up a skillet and add oil in it (medium heat)
7. Dice the onion (real small)
8. Sauté the onion
9. Cut the garlic and cut it finely
10. Sauté the onions and ginger together
11. Pour diced tomatoes in the ginger and onion
12. Drain out water from potatoes
13. Make mashed potatoes
14. Add Tabasco into tomatoes
15. Drain water from the peppers
16. Add the tomato sauce into the mashed potato and mix together
17. Grate cheese for a garnish
18. Pour the sauce and cheese into the pepper
19. Cook for 10-15 minutes

Potato Doughnuts


10ml - baking powder
125ml - mashed potatoes
15ml - butter
15ml - milk
2 eggs
2ml - nutmeg
0.5 ml - cinnamon
7ml - salt
125ml - sugar
550ml - flour
2 cup - oil



1. Cut potatoes and boil (stove high)
2. Drain out all the water
3. Mash the potatoes
4. Pour butter and milk and mash together
5. Scoop the mashed potato in a large bowl
6. Beat in 2 eggs (one at a time)
7. Add oil in the pot
8. Add sugar in a bowl
9. Mix all dry ingredients in another bowl
10. Stir the dry ingredients into other mixture
11. Knead it
12. Roll into small golf balls
13. Let it cook for 2 minutes

Omelet

2 eggs
25ml - water
15ml - butter
Green pepper
Mushroom
Cheese
Spices



1. In a large bowl crack 2 eggs and add water
2. Whisk together
3. Turn stove on medium heat (5-7)
4. Pour butter in a frying pan
5. Cut the ingredients to go in the omelets
6. Pour in the egg mixture
7. Pour ingredients on half the omelets
8. Fold in the egg
9. Serve hot and may place a garnish on top (optional)

Pizza

400ml - flour
7ml - yeast
125ml - warm water
2ml - salt
30ml - oil

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
2. Take warm water, yeast and stir also sit for 5 minutes
3. Get flour in a bowl
4. Add salt and mix it up
5. Add the oil to the liquid cup
6. Mix in the liquids in the dry ingredients
7. Mix with a wooden spoon
8. Knead the dough
9. Put a paper towel on the dough for 20 minutes
10. Pour flour on the pizza tray
11. Flatten out the dough on the pizza tray
12. Roll the dough and spread flour on rolling pin
13. Add 125ml tomato sauce
14. Add 1ml garlic, oregano, sweet basil
15. Mix together
16. Spread on dough
17. Grate cheese 140ml mozzarella, 50ml cheddar
18. Cook the crust for 10 minutes
19. Change oven to 450 degrees and cook for 15-20 minutes  

Monkey Bread





7ml - yeast
30ml - sugar
2ml - salt
600ml - flour
30ml - vegetable oil
175ml - water
1 egg
40ml - margarine
5ml - cinnamon
125ml - brown sugar


1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Add salt, sugar, yeast, and 1 cup flour in a large bowl
3. Add oil, egg, and warm water
4. Keep mixture aside with dry cloth over it for 10 minutes
5. Get a jellyroll pan and spread shortening
6. 1/3 of margarine blocks and melt it for 50 seconds
7. Take the dough and add 175ml flour while mixing
8. Knead the dough
9. Break into 16 pieces and throw in the bowl of flour
10. Evenly space put on jelly roll pan
11. Spread butter with a brush on the circles
12. Let them sit with a cloth over it for 12-15 minutes
13. Sprinkle in cinnamon and brown sugar
14. Bake for 12-15 minutes

Pretzels

   
8 ml - yeast
190 ml - warm water
2 ml - sugar
2 ml - salt
375 ml - flour
Egg and salt glazed


Yeild: 4-5 pretzels


1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
2. Put the water in a large bowl
3. Add the yeast then stir until it’s sift
4. Get the salt and sugar put it in the warm water
5. Then add the flour mix
6. Knead the dough for 5 minutes (add a little flour on it)
7. Cut the dough into four equal pieces on a cutting board
8. Take shortening and spread it on a cookie sheet
9. Twist the dough pieces make sure long and skinny
10. Then put them on a cookie sheet
11. Crack an egg; mix with a whisk, and then brush on dough
12. Sparkle core salt and then put in oven
13. Bake for 15-20 minutes

Focaccia bread



550 ml - flour
12 ml- yeast
2 ml - sugar
5 ml - salt
45 ml - olive oil
250 ml - warm water
7 ml - savory
7 ml - sweet basil
5 ml - oregano
5 ml - Tyne


Yield: 4-5 bread


1. Preheat oven at 400 degrees
2. Sift 375 ml of flour, quick yeast, salt, sugar, seasonings in a bowl, mix well
3. Grab water and add olive oil in the water
4. Add liquid to the mixture and stir well
5. Gradually add 125ml flour
6. Knead it for 5 minutes
7. Cut the dough in half
8. Get baking sheet spread flour on baking sheet
9. Let the dough sit for 15 minutes cover it with a dish towel
10. Take olive oil and brush the top of the bread
11. Sprinkle a smidge of seasoning on the bread
12. Bake for 10-15 minutes

Jelly Rolls

2 eggs
30 ml - sugar
2 ml- vanilla
50 ml - sugar
100 ml - sifted cake flour
3 ml - baking powder
5 ml - salt


Yield: 6-8 rolls


1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks
3. Beat the egg yolks and add 30 ml sugar gradually
4. Then add the vanilla and continue to beat the egg yolks
5. Beat the egg whites and in 50 ml sugar gradually (until become stiff)
6. Fold in the egg yolks with the egg whites
7. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt 3 times
8. Add the egg mixture and fold in
9. Take wax paper to cover a jelly roll pan and add a smith of margarine on wax paper
10. Slowly add the batter evenly on wax paper
11. Spread out batter evenly on wax paper
12. Cook for 12 minutes
13. Place a clam dish towel on the cooling wrack
14. Lift the wax paper off
15. Roll off the cake with the dish towel
16. Unroll the dish towel and spread strawberry jam on the cake
17. Roll it back up and cut into circles

Neapoliton Cupcakes


60 ml - Margarine
100 ml - sugar
1 egg
3 ml - vanilla
175 ml -cake flour
1 ml - salt
5 ml - baking powder
90 ml - milk
5 ml - cocoa powder
2-3 drops of red food coloring


Yield: 6 cupcakes


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Prepare the muffin tin with oil
3. Put margarine in a bowl and mix
4. Gradually add sugar into the margarine bowl
5. Add the vanilla and egg
6. Sift together the dry ingredients
7. Mix the dry ingredients and milk repeatedly in the bowl
8. Pour the batter in 3 separate bowls
9. Pour cocoa powder in 1 bowl, red food coloring in another bowl, and leave the last bowl plain
10. Add the 3 batters in the muffin tins together
11. Make a swirl with the batter
12. Bake for 25 minutes

Cinnamon roll pancakes


1 cup-flour
2 tsp.-baking powder
1/2 tsp.-salt
1 cup-milk
1/2 cup-margarine
3/4 cup-brown sugar
1 tbsp.-cinnamon
1 tbsp.-oil
1egg


Yield: 3-4 pancakes


1. Medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt
2. Whisk in milk, oil, and egg
3. Put the butter aside
4. Take butter and melt in microwave for 60 seconds
5. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, in the butter bowl
6. Put stove on medium low
7. Place the mixed cinnamon in a plastic bag
8. Add oil in a frying pan
9. Pour batter in the frying pan and slightly cut a corner off the plastic bag
10. Draw a spiral on the pancake with a plastic bag
11. Flatten and flip as the pancake crisp and bubbles

Bread sticks

1/3-cup margarine
2 1/2-cup flour
3 1/2-tsp baking powder
1 cup-milk
1 1/2-tsp salt
Cheese
Garlic powder

Yield: 10-12 strips

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
2. Grate the cheese 
3. Grab 1/3 margarine and leave on table
4. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder
5. Add the milk
6. Chop up butter on jelly roll pan and let it melt in the oven
7. Mix up ingredients to the dough in the bowl
8. Add 1/2 cup cheese in the dough
9. Take out butter from oven
10. Flatten the dough on the counter
11. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough
12. Cut the dough with a knife into strips
13. Roll the strips in butter
14. Bake for 12-15 minutes

Love in a pan (Marshmallow cookies)

25ml- margarine butter 
120g- marshmallow 
1ml- vanilla
750ml- rice krispee
Chocolate  drizzle

Yield: 25-30 squares

1. Lightly butter jelly roll pan
2. Melt margarine over low heat
3. Grab marshmallows and melt with butter over low heat
4. Pour vanilla in the pan over low heat
5. Mix the pan over low heat till it turns an off white colour
6. Grab 3 cups of rice krispee and mix in the pan over low heat
7. Take pan off heat and mix well
8. Pour out on a jelly roll pan
9. Flatten the mixture with buttered spatula
10. Slightly less than half a cup of chocolate chips over low heat
11. Let rice krispee set and then drizzle the melted chocolate chips on the mixture
12. Cut the mixture with a knife in any way or shape

Toffee cookies

15- Graham crackers
230g- butter, melted
200g- brown sugar
150g- pecans, chopped

Yield:  10 portions

1. Preheat oven at 356 Fahrenheit (180 Celsius)
2. Melt butter and add brown sugar heat over low heat
3. Stir until sugar is dissolved 
4. Scatter graham crackers on a cookie sheet
5. Pour mixture over a set of graham crackers to coat them
6. Sprinklechopped pecans evenly over top
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes
8. Set and let it cool then cut with knife into rectangles
